How much does it cost to start a Funky Munky Franchise?

The current total estimated cost to start a Funky Munky Shaved Ice Franchise ranges from $78,900 up to $148,200.  The total initial investment includes the Initial Franchise Fee, acquiring and outfitting a trailer, stand, or other unit to operate from, equipment, initial inventory, insurance, permits, initial payroll, etc.  

 

How soon could you open your new Funky Munky Franchise?

Typically, once a new franchisee has signed our Franchise Agreement, it takes 6-10 weeks to complete all necessary items to be able to open for business.  This, of course, assumes that the franchisee wishes to open as soon as possible, works diligently to complete all pre-opening items, and there are no unforeseen delays.

Will your Funky Munky Shaved Ice Franchise operate all year?

Currently, most of our locations operate seasonally from Spring through Summer.  We have a few locations that operate year-round, and some that stay open into the Fall months.  How long a location operates during the year depends on many factors such as franchisee preference, local city ordinance, and the type of unit/structure the business is operating from.

How many team members does it take to operate a Funky Munky location?

Typically, a Funky Munky location will need a staff of 5-10 team members. This number will vary based on the time of year and the availability of the team members. 

​

​Do Franchisees have to live in the Territory that their franchised location will operate?

​

While it is not required that a franchisee live within the Franchise Territory, we do feel it is important that the franchisee live within easy driving distance to manage and operate the business.
